Album Info:Running in Georgia between Albany and Cordele, this was owned by the Southern Railway. It was abandoned in 1977. There isn't much to photograph between Albany and Warwick, so that's why I stopped at Warwick.

The End of the line.
Title:  The End of the line.
Description:  This is the interchange in Cordele. The HOG runs all this line now, and seems to use the former A&N for car storage. The A&N is straight ahead, the HOG curves to the right.

24th Ave
Title:  24th Ave
Description:  Looking South. I presume the tracks are still here, to allow service for Golden Peanut Company there on the right. Should they see the err of their ways and decide to ship by rail.

Arabi Warwick Rd
Title:  Arabi Warwick Rd
Description:  Scoot down 9 railroad miles, and you can see these rails spanning the ditch. They seemed to be completely under the road, and not worth removing. Looking North.

Title:  Swift Creek Rd
Description:  Looking South, towards Lake Blackshear. I believe the rails are still on the Causeway, as they're here, and on the far trestle.

Smoak Bridge Circle.
Title:  Smoak Bridge Circle.
Description:  The land view of the trestle. It was burned to provide access for boats, I'm unsure if it was proper or not. Either way, no one seemed to care.

Main Street
Title:  Main Street
Description:  Even when I was young and didn't know much, I knew that Warwick was supposed to have a railroad, with the way the streets and buildings are laid out. Now this area is utilized as a playground.
