On this cold day, we brought the switcher down to clear a fallen tree. This is the closest this little locomotive will get to being back 'home'. It was bought by Kentucky Utilities in 1951, and spent over twenty years a few hundred yards away at the nearby Tyrone Generating Plant. A Southern Railway caused accident at the plant convinced the plant to shift to trucks, and later, the rails were removed. Welcome home, little buddy! |
